Team and Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team within the firm, responsible for performance analytics, trade support, portfolio administration, and managing related projects.

Reporting to the Manager Fund Administration, you will work to support various departments within the firm, particularly the portfolio management team, to develop analytics, maintain current information, increase efficiencies and strive for continuous improvement and excellence in our day-to-day deliverables. This role comes with a high level of autonomy, and will best suit an individual that is able to work independently with minimal supervision, and take a proactive approach with technology to problem solving. This role also requires excellent analytical skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a continually evolving environment. This role is located in Vancouver.

Key Accountabilities

  • Gather data for adhoc advisor requests including performance and analytics for funds
  • Gather and compile manager holdings and performance for monthly attribution reports and quarterly marketing one pagers
  • Update MERs for all underlying managers for CRM 2
  • Maintain and oversea composite returns and fund level analytics for marketing
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to best practices for performance reporting based on BCSC and GIPS requirements
  • Identify and reconcile failed trades between front office and back office as well as liaise with third party brokers
  • Investigate and reconcile performance related discrepancies
  • Identify areas where processes can be improved or automated and independently apply advanced Excel VBA / Excel skill set to streamline work flow
  • Work closely with portfolio managers and IT to lead project planning and testing for portfolio management system enhancements

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Commerce, or related field
  • VBA programing proficiency is required. An assessment will be given to analyze level of proficiency
  • Advanced computer skills / experience in use/programming of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven analytical skills involving multiple and complex data sets and use of statistical analysis
  • Experience in performance measurement and attribution methodologies considered an asset
  • Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada
  • CFA candidacy considered an asset
