Our in-house portfolio management team identifies valuable opportunities in real estate and private equity – some requiring multi-million-dollar investment minimums – and creates various structures that allow our clients to participate in smaller increments.

These are opportunities uniquely available to a wealth management firm such as ours.  Traditional financial planners do not have the capacity to accomplish such arrangements and major institutions are too large in scale to make this worthwhile to their customers.

We believe that real estate is an important asset class to include in our clients’ portfolios.

Cash flowing commercial real estate provides our clients with stable cash flow and inflation-adjusted returns in both the Canadian and US real estate markets. Our clients collectively enjoy the benefits of owning hard asset real estate in a diversified portfolio which can be expensive, and difficult for many investors to acquire individually.

Nicola Wealth Management has created the SPIRE LP (Strategic Partnership for Investment Real Estate), and SPIRE US LP, two limited partnerships that allow our clients to own hard asset real estate investments in Canada and the U.S.

Private Equity

Alternative investments play an important role in our clients’ diversification and long-term returns.

With due diligence and patience, we are able to source opportunities that offer good potential returns. These prospective deals often have high minimum investment thresholds, precluding all but ultra-high net worth investors from participating.

As an institutional investor, Nicola Wealth Management is able to create structures that allow its clients to participate in private equity opportunities not normally available to the retail investor.
